Radar is a very interesting company because it produces very nice and budget friendly kneeboards. Most of its kneeboards are very nice and appealing to look at, and some of them offer a good range of features for different riders. One such board which will appeal to entry level riders is the Radar Magic Carpet Kneeboard which comes in with a very respectable price tag.

The EVA pad of this board is thick and soft enough for you to kneel on it for a long time and not feel your knees getting numb or hurting. Instead, when you kneel on it for the first time, you feel like just continuing to kneel for the whole day. It has a thin profile and that enhances its movement because there is no room for resistance from the water.  It has an orange kneepad that has deep knee wells that hold you properly to avoid slipping out.

Radar Magic Carpet Kneeboard Review

Summary

8.0/10

The Radar Magic Carpet Kneeboard is a good bargain board, but aside from this it really doesn’t offer too much. The ability for beginners to learn on the Magic Carpet will appeal to some, but after you gain some experience and look for something more feature rich it’s likely to sit in the garage.

Great for Beginners, But Not Much More

The Radar Magic Carpet Kneeboard is a great board for beginners, but intermediates and more experienced riders will want to look for something else. It’s hard to overlook the bargain price, but if you’re looking for something with a bit more pop, speed, and something which handles the wake in which it was intended, then this isn’t it.

Beginners can get a good feel on the Magic Carpet and with its stable ride thanks to the single, and secure locking strap staying on won’t be a problem. It’s also quite comfortable due to the single density orthotic pad, but not comfortable enough for long-term use. The large base allows it to accommodate riders of all sizes and ages which makes it a great family board.

The Radar Magic Carpet Kneeboard is a good bargain board, but aside from this it really doesn’t offer too much. The ability for beginners to learn on the Magic Carpet will appeal to some, but after you gain some experience and look for something more feature rich it’s likely to sit in the garage.

For intermediates and experienced riders, you’ll be quite bored with this entry level kneeboard.
